Professional schematic capture and multi-layer board layout, led by a certified PCB designer (CPCD, PCEA) including high-speed interfaces such as PCIe and LPDDR.
Microcontroller and SoC bring-up, board support, drivers, and on-device intelligence — from low-power sensor nodes to Linux-class compute modules.
Our specialty: partitioning products into swappable, upgradeable modules with durable high-speed interconnects. This is the architecture behind Uqab and Zaman.
Hands-on iteration: 3D-printed enclosures, bench bring-up, thermal and signal testing, and rapid revision cycles from concept to working device.
DFM-aware design and documentation prepared for ODM/EMS handoff, BOMs, fabrication packages, and staged production planning from low volumes upward.
Available for client work across consumer electronics, smart-home gadgets, and industrial devices with the same longevity-first engineering applied throughout.
Two gaming systems, same modular platform. Each is built around a swappable compute Core, a handheld Wing, and a desktop Nest.
AAA PC Games
A high-performance hybrid console for modern gaming: High-end silicon on a swappable Core, an 8″ 144 Hz OLED handheld, and a dock with a real PCIe Gen 5 graphics-card slot for 4K play.
Golden Age Retro Games
A modular retro console for Y2K emulation up to the PS2 & GameCube era: efficient ARM silicon, a 6″ 120 Hz OLED handheld, and an open, tinker-friendly software ecosystem.
Most consumer hardware is designed to contribute to electronic waste. Screens, batteries, and controls that could last a decade are discarded because the chip beside them aged in three years. Kawn Electro exists to engineer the alternative.
Every product we design is partitioned into modules with performant, durable interconnects. The parts that age fast are swappable; the parts that last are built to be kept. We favour open ecosystems over locked ones, and provide documentation a repair shop can actually use.
It is a slower way to design but the only one that respects the owner's investment.
Modularity is not a feature — it's a philosophy.
We are building long-term manufacturing and component relationships for the Uqab and Zaman programs, and we take on select contract design work.
